Eric Solberg
Chairman & CEO
Eric is the founder, Chairman and CEO of EXS, with over 25 years of experience in the Asian Private Equity business.
Eric founded EXS in 2007, but has been involved in the Asian private equity industry since 1991. As an investor, investment banker and entrepreneur, he has invested, advised and raised investor capital through several full business cycles.
Prior to EXS, he was partner and head of Japan at CVCI Asia, Citigroup’s proprietary private equity group, where he led investments resulting in the founding of Shui On Land and Asia Broadcast Satellite. Prior to CVCI, Eric founded and ran the Strategic Capital Group, where he advised Harbin Brewery, eventually sold to Anheuser-Busch for US$800 million. Eric started his career in finance at Wasserstein Perella & Co in New York.
Eric was educated at Harvard, Princeton and Stanford Business School’s 1Executive Program. He also speaks Japanese.

Roland Kyle
Managing Director
Roland has over 23 years of real estate investment management experience in US, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining EXS Capital, Roland was a Senior Principal at AEPim in Singapore for c. 10 years. During his time at AEPim, he was involved with the financing and IPO of Securus Data Property Trust, which was converted to a listed REIT (Keppel DC REIT) in December 2014. He was also responsible for investing and managing a USD$250m family office mandate, as well as a senior member of Basil Property Trust, a commingled investment fund that acquired and managed assets in Singapore UK and Australia.
Roland holds a BSc (Surveying) from Trinity College Dublin and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Chris Kwan
Executive Director & CTO
Chris joined EXS in 2013, and has been dedicated to the founding of Stratus.
Prior to EXS, Chris has over 10 years of experience in banking and held various positions at global financial institutions including JP Morgan and Citigroup, where he led the financial control, risk management, operation and technology functions. Chris started his career as a Fin-Tech specialist in 1997 and was the original architect of the online trading platform for boom.com, the first online stock broker in Hong Kong that offers multi-lingual stock trading services in 12 exchanges.
Chris graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and holds a Master degree in Information Technology. He is bilingual in English and Chinese, and is licensed by the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Estates Agents Authority.

Cathy Huang
Executive Director
Cathy is responsible for deal structuring, valuation and portfolio management at EXS.
Prior to joining EXS, Cathy worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong for 7 years. Most recently, she was a member of Goldman’s Special Situations Group, the global multi-asset class private investment arm of the firm and deeply involved in the valuations of US$600 million portfolios, deal restructuring and portfolio management. Before that, Cathy was with the firm’s Prime Brokerage business and focused on Hedge Fund financing advisory.
Cathy received a M.S. in Applied Statistics from University of Oxford, and a B.S. in Economics and Statistics from University College London. Cathy speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Chris Tai
Vice President
Chris is responsible for project execution, as well as financial analysis and investor presentation materials.
Prior to joining EXS, Chris worked at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong for 3 years as part of the Investment Banking Division. Chris helped cover the consumer, retail, and healthcare industries in Asia Pacific, working on a variety of M&A and equity transactions across China and Southeast Asia.
Chris received a B.A. in both Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Chris speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Denise Teo
Associate
Denise is responsible for supporting project execution, as well as financial analysis and investor presentation materials.
Prior to joining EXS, Denise worked at PwC for 3 years in the Hong Kong Consulting team. She participated in a wide variety of strategy projects, from advising on market entry to building business and financial models. She worked with clients across Retail & Consumer, Hospitality and Real Estate, and Financial Services throughout APAC.
Denise received a BSc in Management from the London School of Economics, and has passed all three levels of the CFA Program. She speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Andriy Chu
Head of Finance
Andriy is the Head of Finance at EXS Capital Group.
Prior to joining EXS, Andriy worked at FountainCap Research & Investment Ltd as Head of Operations and Finance Director, ADM Capital as Senior Manager - Fund Accounting, and KPMG HK as Audit Manager. He has over 16 years of extensive knowledge and experience in fund operations & accounting and compliance functions.
Andriy received a BBA in Finance from Hong Kong Baptist University and is a Certified Public Accountant of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Brenda Lee
Executive Assistant
Brenda is an Executive Assistant at EXS Capital Group.
Prior to joining EXS, Brenda worked for China Minsheng Bank (Hong Kong) as a Manager, and Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC as an Executive Secretary. She has over 20 years of experience in planning, coordination and supporting daily operational and office administrative functions.
Brenda speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
