Eric Solberg

With 30 years of experience in Asian private equity and real estate, as an entrepreneur, investment banker and institutional investor, Eric has successfully raised, advised and invested capital through several full business cycles.
Prior to EXS, he was Partner and Head of Japan for CVCI Asia, Citigroup’s global private equity group, where he led investments resulting in the founding of Shui On Land and Asia Broadcast Satellite. Prior to CVCI, Eric founded and ran the Strategic Capital Group, where he advised Harbin Brewery, eventually sold to Anheuser-Busch for US$800 million. In the early nineties, Eric rose from Associate to Managing Director at Peregrine Capital, Hong Kong then Head of Investment Banking, India by the age of 25. Eric started his career in finance as an Analyst at Wasserstein Perella & Co in New York.
Eric was educated at Harvard, Princeton and Stanford Business School. He speaks conversational Japanese.
He is licensed by the MAS as a Responsible Representative for EXS Capital Pte Ltd in Singapore. Prior to founding EXS’ Singapore operations, Eric was licensed by the Securities & Futures Commission as a Supervisory Responsible Officer for EXS Capital Asia Limited in Hong Kong.
