Eric Solberg
Chairman & CEO

Eric is the founder, Chairman and CEO of EXS Capital Group, responsible for overall strategy for the Group as well as leading Fund Management from EXS Capital Pte Ltd, our MAS licensed entity in Singapore.
With 30 years of experience in Asian private equity and real estate, as an entrepreneur, investment banker and institutional investor, Eric has successfully raised, advised and invested capital through several full business cycles.
Prior to EXS, he was Partner and Head of Japan for CVCI Asia, Citigroup’s global private equity group, where he led investments resulting in the founding of Shui On Land and Asia Broadcast Satellite. Prior to CVCI, Eric founded and ran the Strategic Capital Group, where he advised Harbin Brewery, eventually sold to Anheuser-Busch for US$800 million. In the early nineties, Eric rose from Associate to Managing Director at Peregrine Capital, Hong Kong then Head of Investment Banking, India by the age of 25. Eric started his career in finance as an Analyst at Wasserstein Perella & Co in New York.
Eric was educated at Harvard, Princeton and Stanford Business School. He speaks conversational Japanese.
He is licensed by the MAS as a Responsible Representative for EXS Capital Pte Ltd in Singapore. Prior to founding EXS’ Singapore operations, Eric was licensed by the Securities & Futures Commission as a Supervisory Responsible Officer for EXS Capital Asia Limited in Hong Kong.
Roland Kyle

Along with Eric, Roland leads Fund Management for the Group from EXS Capital Pte Ltd, our MAS licensed entity in Singapore.
Roland has over 23 years of real estate investment advisory and management experience in US, Europe and Asia.
Prior to joining EXS Capital, Roland was a Senior Principal at AEPim in Singapore for over 10 years. During his time at AEPim, he was involved with the financing and oversight of Securus Data Property Fund (SDPF), a Pan-Europe/Asia data centre fund whose assets formed the majority of the portfolio in the listing of Keppel DC REIT in 2014. He was also responsible for investing and managing a US$250m family office mandate, as well as a senior member of Basil Property Trust, a commingled investment fund that acquired and managed assets in Singapore UK and Australia.
Roland has also held the position of a Director at Citigroup in New York, where he originated, structured and funded over US$1.1 billion (~80 transactions) of commercial real estate loans throughout the US.
Roland received a B.Sc. in Surveying from Trinity College Dublin and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
He is licensed by the MAS as a Responsible Representative for EXS Capital Pte Ltd in Singapore.
Chris Kwan

Along with Cathy, Chris co-leads Advisory, Corporate Finance and Investment activities for the Group from EXS Capital Asia Limited in Hong Kong.
Chris joined EXS in 2013. Prior to EXS, Chris has over 10 years of experience in banking and held various positions at global financial institutions including JP Morgan and Citigroup, where he led the financial control, risk management, operation and technology functions. Chris started his career as a Fin-Tech specialist in 1997 and was the original architect of the online trading platform for boom.com, the first online stock broker in Hong Kong that offers multi-lingual stock trading services in 12 exchanges.
Chris graduated from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and received a Master degree in Information Technology. He is bilingual in English and Chinese, and is licensed by the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Estates Agents Authority.
Cathy Huang
Managing Director

Along with Chris, Cathy co-leads Advisory, Corporate Finance and Investment activities for the Group from EXS Capital Asia Limited in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining EXS, Cathy worked at Goldman Sachs in London and Hong Kong for 7 years. Most recently, she was a member of Goldman’s Special Situations Group, the global multi-asset class private investment arm of the firm and deeply involved in the valuations of US$600 million portfolios, deal restructuring and portfolio management. Before that, Cathy was with the firm’s Prime Brokerage business and focused on Hedge Fund financing advisory.
Cathy received a M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from University of Oxford, and a B.Sc. in Economics and Statistics from University College London. Cathy speaks fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is licensed by the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Estates Agents Authority.
Chris Tai
Director

Chris is responsible for project execution, as well as financial analysis and investor presentation materials.
Prior to joining EXS, Chris worked at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong for 3 years as part of the Investment Banking Division. Chris helped cover the consumer, retail, and healthcare industries in Asia Pacific, working on a variety of M&A and equity transactions across China and Southeast Asia.
Chris received a B.A. in both Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Chris speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese and is licensed by the Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission.
Justin Poon
Head of Investor Relations
Hong Kong
Justin is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, development and execution of all investor relations initiatives for the Group.
Prior to joining EXS, Justin spent five years at OCP Asia as a marketing and investor relations professional and nearly ten years at Argyle Street Management as Vice President. While at both organizations, he was responsible for all aspects of investors related activities from fundraising and managing relationships with institutional and other accredited investors, to resolving day to day fund administrative and operational issues. Before moving back to Hong Kong in 2005, Justin was a mechanical engineer in New York for six years, where he provided engineering solutions to various commercial and government projects.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Science (Mechanical Engineering) from Cornell University and an MBA from University of London.
Alexandra Li

Alexandra is an associate in the Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining EXS, Alexandra worked at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong as Analyst in the Investment Banking Division.
Alexandra received BCom in Finance with Honours from UBC Sauder School of Business. Alexandra speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Lauren Song
Associate

Lauren is an associate in the Hong Kong office.
Prior to joining EXS, Lauren worked at Citigroup in Hong Kong as Analyst in Investment Banking Division. Before that, she worked at Rothschild & Co in Hong Kong as Analyst in Global Advisory.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Economics and Finance from The University of Hong Kong. Lauren speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Lincoln Ma, CPA

Lincoln is responsible for the finance function at EXS Capital Group.
Prior to joining EXS, Lincoln worked at PwC for 7 years in the Hong Kong Financial Services Assurance practice. His clients included multinational banks, asset management and securities companies and private equity funds.
Lincoln received a B.B.A. in Professional Accounting and Information Systems (First Class Honours) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and is a Certified Public Accountant of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Hayley Kwan, CPA
Senior Associate, Finance

Hayley is responsible for the finance function at EXS.
Previously, Hayley was with Value Partners where she managed the financial reporting for mutual funds and hedge funds. Prior to that, Hayley worked at Ernst & Young for 4 years in the Hong Kong Financial Services Assurance practice. Her clients included private equity funds, hedge funds and asset management companies.
Hayley received a BBA in Accountancy (First Class Honours) from the City University of Hong Kong, and is a Certified Public Accountant of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
Brenda Lee
Executive Assistant

Brenda is an Executive Assistant at EXS Capital Group.
Prior to joining EXS, Brenda worked for China Minsheng Bank (Hong Kong) as a Manager, and Goldman Sachs (Asia) LLC as an Executive Secretary. She has over 20 years of experience in planning, coordination and supporting daily operational and office administrative functions.
Brenda speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
